Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. The current president is and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native has an affluent background. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon before becoming the manager of Lakers, among other businesses. Her parents divorced in 1972. separated together and she felt abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she took over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as the General Manager. Later, she established her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president of the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and the ownership of the Lakers was passed on to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust which gave each sibling equal voting rights. She took on the role of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles which is an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
