Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. The singer combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates in Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at church. Her musical career began in Atlanta in Spellman College. In 2005, she was the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) approached her for a position as choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
